I will be doing book reviews on book that i read, beauty related and not.  So  this review is on a book by carre otis titled  beauty disrupted This a very good read. Its about  Carre's life but she includes lessons and advice as well.  It includes stories about domestic violence and anorexia. She talks about her journey with trying to overcome her eating disorder and also overcoming  her sexual abuse. I recommend this book. I got my copy from barnes n noble and the cost is $25.99. If you get  yours from barnes n noble and you have a member card then you will get 10% off of that price. Which is what  i did and it  saves you money.

I wanted to share my thoughts on the tarte products and urban decay from the gogogirlfriend box. I do love this. great color and doesnt feel sticky, and does last for a  while. Love this color but only lasted for a couple of days before starting to peel.  would probley repurchase the tarte but not the urban decay. I love a nail polish to last more than a couple of days before starting to peel. 

I wanted to share with you the target beauty bag that i received. This is the box it come in. pretty cool. Inside was this very cute cosmetic bag. and inside of it was the samples. So my over all impression is i love the bag. it will be perfect for when i put my concealer and powder and lipstick in to take with me.. On the samples the tresemme, loreal youth code, and the ponds i already use but i did give those samples to one of my teenage daughters  and last night i tried the john freida full repair. It seems great but not something i would want to spend money until i could try it more. There wasnt enough product there to base a decision on. It does come with coupons so that is a great money saver  i just wish the coupons didnt expire in the middle of nov.

I thought i would do  my nails with the UK flag, kind of a salute to my heritage.. I started out using a base coat with sally Hansen miracle cure strengthener. I then painted  my entire nail  using Sally Hansen hard as nails extreme wear nail color in blue it. I  then used opi nail lacquer in alpine white and  painted and x then a line down the  nail as shown in the picture  then over the top of the white i used wet n wild megalast nail color in caught red handed after that i used a top coat of seche vite. I love how they have turned out and i have gotten a lot of complements on them as well.  Hope you all enjoyed and let me know what you think.

Wanted to share with you another eye  look from the tarte for true blood. This time its the vampy vixen. I started by using tarte eye primer that is in the kit  on both of my eyelids. I then used the true death which is a sparkling silver on the lid and blending it  up in the crease. I then lined by eyelids with my mally eyeliner in black . Watch next week for my review of the tarte for  true blood and learn why im not using the liner that comes with the kit. I then used the glamour  me which is a sparkling deep plum along the upper and lower eyelashes. I finished the look with the tarte,  lights,camera mascara in black. What are you thoughts on this eye look? 

I did my nails like vampires and i wanted to share it with you. I have also had lots of compliments on them. I first started by painting  my nails in whats a tire jack by sephora by  opi. then painted the  nail tips in pink diamond by essie. Using a thin brush i painted a line on the edge of the pink with alpine white by opi   then taking the white down into vampire vangs.. Then using sugar  sugar by sinful colors draw dots for blood. I hope that you enjoy and try this.

Thought i was show you a eye look of the day. it is the not your average waitress look from the tarte for true blood line. first i used the eye primer that comes with the kit. then used the dusk  which is a matte warm taupe all over the entire lid. Then i applied waitress which is a sparkling pink champangne in the crease  blending it up into the brow bone. Then i used warewolf which is matte chocolate into the outer crease and over the lashline. I lined my  eyelids  with the eyeliner in black that comes with  the kit. and then used the mascara from the kit. I really love the way it turned out. Stay tuned for a review for the tarte for true blood in a couple of days. On other matter i wanted to share some reading with you. I wanted to share with you a little look at the skin care items that i have in my collection.

Hello ladies, I wanted to share with you my halloween nails that i did. I first only did two of my nails like candy corn. I first applied  Lets meet from sinful colors then i applied cloud 9 from  sinful colors over the top leaving a half moon of the lets meet at the bottom. then i applied alpine snow from opi across the nail tip. the finished look. then i applied alpine white from opi on two nails and on the other two nails i used whats a tire jack from sephora by opi then using my konad system using the black and white color on the opposite nail colors (white on the black and black on the white) i put halloween designs. one each of bat, witch, spider web, spider, on each hand. The last two pics were taken before i cleaned up my nails. This was the first time i used the konad system. I wanted to do a review of 3 different lip plumpers and let you know what my thoughts  are. All three days  i wore the same  color. wet n wild natural blend  in  a pink(  not sure the color name) and i wore a different plumper with it on three different days. The first day i wore the elf lip primer and plumper. This is a great product for a gloss appearance.  On the second day i wore the same lip color and wore a similar gloss from lip  fusion infatuation. Great gloss and not sticky or goopy either. great colors as well. On the third day i wore same lip color with too faced lip injection. Great gloss and not sticky or goopy either. My thoughts on the elf. While it is great at providing a  great shine, thats it. doesnt do anything for plump, however i do like the lip primer.  The lip fusion is great. love the shine and it does do  a little plumping.. I wanted to share with you what i have done with my nails. I used as a base coat  american classic  nail growth treatment from sallys. then i put a couple of coats of china glaze (again from sallys) in go go pink. After that dried then i took the kiss nail art paint in pink and drew pink ribbons. I let that dry and then put a top coat of seche vite, letting that completely dry as well. I love this look. On a seperate note please dont forget that not only is this  breast cancer awareness month but also domestic violence month as well. 

just wanted to give you an update on my nails with the gelish. this is what happen this morning .Not bad, lasted a week but i still love it. that whole week i had such great shine like i had just done my nails. 

i thought i would give you a brief look at my makeup collection. In a latter video i will go into more detail about what products i have in different groups, such as foundation, concealer, etc.

it has been one week since i put on the gelish nail polish (check an  earlier blog ) and im still loving this. I have put my nails threw the works and they havent chiped at all. I even went in to sallys today and picked up an additional color in the line -light elegance. when i do my nails with that, i will post a pick.
